UPCOMING EVENTS

Building strong partnerships among parents, educators, PTAs, and the community to support special education families.  

SEPTA is a district wide Special Education Parent Teacher Association and is part of New York State and National PTA. SEPTA was designed to build strong partnerships among parents, teachers, administrators, existing PTAs and community, for the benefit of families and children receiving special education services.


Provide a space for parents of special needs children in the community to connect

  • Develop sensory friendly adaptations and after school programs that are inclusive to students with different needs

  • Provide parent workshops and resources for special needs families

  • Engage families that have students in out of district placements

  • Advocacy and bridging for special education students and their families

  • Build awareness and promote inclusion for all students in the district (i.e. buddy programs)
